I had done an oil a few weeks back of this same still life (Beeman's Daily)...thought it would be interesting to see what it would look like as a pastel.

100 Portraits

As part of a WetCanvas challenge to do 100 paintings of the same subject, I decided to do my 100 portraits after a painting I had done a few years ago. The first eight are on a warm gray Strathmore paper and the last one is a white sheet from a canson pad. All the approaches vary and I tried to use different color combinations than what I would normally use. Another goal in this first set was to limit the number of pastels to 4-7 colors and a completion time of 15-25 minutes. I'll post updates weekly!
